  • Bitumen 40/50 is produced by Air Blowing process on a vacuum baton (The raw material for bitumen production is taken from the bottom of the distillation tower in the vacuum of oil refinery )and its degree of penetration (determination of bitumen softness) should be between 40 to 50 and its analysis is according to below table. Application The main common use of this product is in the tropics. Bitumen 40/50 is a standard penetration grade bitumen usually used as a paving grade bitumen suitable to be used in producing hot mix asphalt for road construction and production of asphalt pavements with superior properties as per following technical specification.
